MCS delivered the full mechanical and electrical services installation across Levels 5 and 6 of the EQ development in central Bristol.
The project was completed over an 18-week programme, with works undertaken while floors above and below were either occupied or progressing through separate fit-out works.
The installation included new ventilation systems designed around the CAT B layout and meeting spaces, modifications to the existing CAT A systems and new VRF systems. A new rooftop air handling unit was also installed to serve the presentation area, supported by an upgraded Building Management System.
Electrical works comprised new lighting and controls throughout, small power adapted to the CAT B layout, upgrades to the smart metering system and modifications to the fire alarm system. MCS also installed a new uninterruptible power supply system to support the communications rooms.
The completed workspace was named the Fit Out of Workplace winner at the 2025 British Council for Offices South of England and South Wales Awards. The recognition highlights the quality of the wider Dojo Bristol fit-out, within which MCS delivered the mechanical and electrical services package.
