ABOUT THE CASE STUDY
With Bike2Work Scheme.

In 2023, MCS introduced their Bike2Work scheme as part of its commitment to employee wellbeing and environmental responsibility. Starting with just three participants in the 2023/24 period, the scheme has seen impressive growth – now engaging 18 staff members across our three office locations.
The Bike2Work scheme enables employees to purchase bicycles and cycling equipment through a tax-efficient salary sacrifice arrangement, making it easier and more affordable to embrace cycling as a regular mode of transport. The response from the MCS team has been overwhelmingly positive, reflecting a growing interest in sustainable commuting and healthy living.
By encouraging cycling to work, MCS is helping employees incorporate regular physical activity into their daily routines, which supports both physical fitness and mental health. Staff members have reported increased energy levels, reduced stress, and a greater sense of focus throughout the workday.
Beyond the individual benefits, the scheme plays a key role in advancing MCS’s sustainability goals. By reducing reliance on cars and public transport, the Bike2Work programme helps to cut carbon emissions and promote more environmentally friendly commuting options.
This initiative is part of MCS’s broader strategy to support work-life balance, employee engagement, and corporate social responsibility. As participation continues to grow, MCS is proud to lead by example in creating a workplace culture that values health, wellbeing, and the planet.
