ABOUT THE CASE STUDY

At MCS, charity work is one of our biggest commitments, it is a fundamental part of our identity as a business and a driving force behind our approach to social value. We believe that through meaningful donations and fundraising remarkable efforts, we can create an impactful change in communities that need it most. As part of our Social Value strategy, we have chosen to support War Child: a organization dedicated to protecting children affected by war and conflict across the globe. Their work is invaluable; providing essential resources such as education, psychological support, and humanitarian aid to children who have experienced the devastating consequences of violence and displacement. For us at MCS, the welfare of children and families is at the heart of our social impact, making War Child the perfect partner for our charity efforts.
Family is at the heart of everything we do, and we recognize the devastating impact that conflict has on children and their futures. By partnering with War Child, we aim to contribute to their vital mission, ensuring vulnerable children receive the safety, education, and support they need to rebuild their lives. This case study from War Child describes our ongoing efforts and the impact we strive to make through this collaboration.
The stories behind the numers Bristol Works team:
“ War Child was grateful to receive a five-figure donation from MCS in summer 2024 during what was a truly challenging time for children globally. Responding to multiple emergencies in Africa, the Middle East and other global regions, War Child and our teams were bolstered in their work to protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children experiencing conflict thanks to an unrestricted gift from MCS. Unrestricted gifts are critical for organizations like War Child that require flexibility and the capacity to quickly allocate funds to deliver services where they are needed most.
MCS can proudly associate itself with a record year for War Child in 2024, which saw us reach a staggering 2,170,416 children, young people, parents and guardians in 14 countries affected by war – more people than War Child has ever supported in one year before. As a growing organisation, this represents a massive leap in our delivery – a leap which MCS supported at such a critical time for so many children globally. Thank you for helping to build a brighter future for children affected by war, MCS!”
